Wednesday, August 12, 2009, page 4: "Pin trading at Pathfinder events is a highly-anticipated activity. Clubs from all around the world get excited about the opportunity to collect and trade shining commemorative pieces of their interactions with other clubs and conferences.

Larger conferences have made their more prevalent pins rarer by creating them in sets which send Pathfinders on a hunt to collect them all.
Other additions which have hiked demand for pins include the installment of blinking lights, whirling fans, odd shapes and eye-catching color combinations."
